It feels so surreal that just a week ago, I was in Bangkok and not lying in my bed in my pjs. The whole trips feels like it barely happened, but of course the physical evidence in the form of the huge bag of clothes I have yet to unpack is a little hard to ignore hmm.
These days I've been spending my days lying and lazing around, a stark contrast to our time in Bangkok but I've got to say that I like both lifestyles equally. If I could replay this week and the last over repeatedly for a lifetime, I swear I would.
But not to digress, Bangkok bangkok bangkok my dear bangkok. I doubt I can really remember what I did specifically for each day anymore thanks to my goldfish memory but I'll try my best.
I remember having the time of our lives. Our only worries were shopping and shopping. Living eating shopping like a Queen. Going to Bangkok and coming back a different person in more ways than one. Having our daily dose of orange juice. Had some of the best meals and supper. Meeting adorable amazing Thai people.
Jamming to Price Tag and Friday with F. Having the most epic hotel moments and conversations with F. Hahhaha did I scare you with the way I stone? Also, I now have a collection of absolutely hilarious videos by us in my computer for my eyes only. Can't seem to upload them without problems :/ Dear, I find it surprising that we survived 5 days with each other in every waking moment. Makes it a total of approximately 120 hours with you bitch hahahah how did we do it without killing each other? Glad that we have come to the conclusion that we can't go on a Bangkok shopping trip with anyone else but each other because no one else would understand us. Also came to a conclusion that we are both damn freaking Annoying with a capital A. Annoying humor.
We turned the whole Pratunam area in our backyard. I remember two crazy girls leaving the hotel at 5am in the morning to venture into the dark streets laughing to ourselves how we're probably the only tourists crazy enough to do this. Skipping out the hotel for some supper at night with just a tshirt, shorts and some notes and coins in our pockets. Walking around like we owned the place. & on our last day, turning the area into our playground. Running up to the rooftop taking pictures in the craziest places ever. Probably won't ever meet another girl crazy enough to make me climb over staircase railings in heels. Running back to the room to change before running out to taking pictures in front of random gates in the area, ignoring the weird stares from everyone who drove/walked past.
Calling the hotel's tuktuk service about 2/3 times a day hahaha I think they're glad we left. The best memory would be calling them about a street or two away so by the time we walked there we wouldn't need to wait for the tuktuk. But no, us being us were distracted by some pretty rings, we had to RUN through the streets of Bangkok carrying our numerous plastic bags, dodging people and street carts to catch our tuktuk. (Y).
Met some amazing new friends in Bangkok. This guy sells the best 100baht shoes/heels.
& this guy sells counterfeit cigarettes for less than 1sgd hahahahha.
I make the coolest friends right? Their stores are situated along the way from my hotel to the Platinum mall so I pretty much saw them everyday and if they saw me they always went, "Eeeeeee hello!!!!" Hahahahhahahah all my friends should know how I squeal with a super high pitch when I see things I like, so when these 2 guys heard me squealing to Fiona about the shoes, they found it damn amusing and just kept at it the whole time -.-
What we also noticed is how the people there we so satisfied despite not having much. We found the street vendors to be nicer more approachable and friendlier than those assistants in the malls. & whoever said only expensive food is nice? Surely hasn't seen enough of the world. Some of the best food I've ever eaten is on the streets. So to all who want to go to Bangkok the biggest advice I have for you is to walk the streets. I don't think you've really experienced Bangkok till you do that. You'll be surprised at what you'll manage to find. My kind of paradise.
I'm sorry this is such a wordy post, I just don't want to miss out anything. This post is more so dedicated to myself than anyone else because what I'd hate the most would be growing up to forget that I had such crazy wacky fun times while I was young. This trip is a prime example of you are only young once. No one will ever realize what majorly crazy things I/we did. I'll keep this trip deep deep down in a special place in my heart forever. No regrets x
