Baguio Philippines #3

(unedited pictures)

Daunting silhouettes of mountains after mountains and wispy clouds rolling at our feet, we stood in the cold for a good hour or so on the rooftop of Nana's relative's home to catch a glimpse of the sunset I once watched from the very same place some 5 years back. Absolutely breathtaking and an apt way to conclude our 4 days at the mountain province. Ahhh words can't really describe how I felt when I stood there feeling like I was at the top of the world looking at nature's wonders of mountains and clouds. It's true when they say, pictures really don't do nature justice. After it turned dark we went back into the warmth of the house for a simple meal of filipino cuisine before ending off the night with some cake and local strawberry wine. The hospitality of the people there, I will never forget. I hope for the day whereby I get the chance to show them around Singapore, my home, our food and our beautiful - but different sunset.

So to sum up our whole trip.. It was an eye-opening experience. Philippines is very very different from Singapore, we learnt and experience so much there. Baguio is admittedly not the most touristy place as of yet but it has its own charm. Unless your main purpose of the trip is to go horseback riding (like me! 4 days straight of horseback riding hahaha), give Baguio a few more years to develop itself and its attractions to make it a more worthwhile trip. I'm already missing the amazing weather, the adorable kids, the thrill of galloping through the woods with the wind in my hair and the blanket of stars at night we fall asleep under (I have honestly never seen so many).

Oh and their houses are absolutely adorable, they build them into the mountains - quite similar to Rio De Janeiro or Greece. So when night falls, the house light up and they look like lighted stars on the mountains. I couldn't snap a good picture and neither can I seem to describe it properly but the picture in my head from what I remember looks absolutely stunning.
