Woke up one morning feel extremely inspired to make my own Egg Benedict for breakfast. Eggs, check. Butter, check. Lemon, check. Bread, check. Bacon, missing? It's okay because I'm going to poach my eggs anyway.
Long story short, after a failed first attempt (don't use salted butter guys) and almost a dozen eggs, I ended up with... that. Over cooked poached eggs, un-toasted toast and a weird tasting hollandaise. Thank god I had my tomato chips to save the day (or breakfast)
I'm almost certain that some people are just simply not gifted in the kitchen. I try and try but almost all my recipes turn out sooo bad. Wait, then again I take that back. I can cook a smashing truffle salt pasta!!!!! Woohoo maybe I'm not that much a failure after all *dances*
